The City of Mississauga hosted a celebration of Black excellence on Friday.

Held at the Mississauga Civic Centre, award recipients received praise from Mayor Bonnie Crombie as she discussed the contributions of Black Canadians in Mississauga.

Among the recipients is artist Hans Poppe, who was in attendance on Feb. 24.
