Chicago has its first Black-owned dispensary.

The Grasshopper Club, founded by Matthew, Chuck, and Diane Brewer, opened in Logan Square last week.

“For me to be doing this legally with my brother and my mother, it's priceless,” Chuck Brewer told ABC7Chicago.

Brewer said he was arrested for marijuana possession as a youth, making the announcement a full-circle moment for him and his family.
