Canadian fashion designer George Sully has announced that his collection, Sully & Son Co., will debut next month at luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue New York.

“I'm excited to officially announce that my Sully & Son Co. Collection will make its U.S. debut next month by way of luxury giant Saks Fifth Avenue New York. After years of meticulous crafting and refinement, it is truly an honour for my work to be acknowledged and embraced by this iconic American luxury institution. More importantly, I am thrilled at the prospect of millions more customers having the chance to experience the brand and helping it become a household name worldwide,” Sully said in a LinkedIn post.

The milestone represents a full-circle moment for Sully, who twice came to New York with previous brands — Limb Apparel and Sully Wong. The architect of the Black Designers of Canada said he’s here to stay in an Instagram post announcing the news. It is an organization that supports Black designers and offers an index of fashion artists across the country.

Sully & So. sells luxury footwear and travel accessories and is best known as the original maker of the Star-Trek Discovery Starfleet boot. The designer and entrepreneur is also a Bata Shoe Museum inductee and House of Hayla's co-founder. And in 2022, Sully was honoured with a 2022 Change Maker Award at the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards.

Saks Fifth Avenue is a renowned luxury department store in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The store was founded in 1924 by Horace Saks and Bernard Gimbel. It houses an impressive array of designer boutiques featuring prominent fashion houses such as Chanel, Gucci, Prada, etc. Adjacent to the flagship location is the Saks Fifth Avenue Men's Store, offering a curated selection of luxury menswear, accessories, and grooming products.
